  • No, a referral is not required. Our doctors are practising GPs with extensive experience prescribing medical customized and natural medicine (CanMed).

     

While it is not necessary to have referral, we strongly encourage you get referral from your regular GP.
An ideal referral letter should contain following key information.

  • Reason for medicinal cannabis use (e.g. pain, anxiety, sleep problem etc.)
  • What measures have already been tried to help (e.g. medications,  physiotherapy,  acupuncture,  cortisone injection etc).
  • Active medical history (e.g. diabetes, hypertension, etc).
  • Current medications.
  • Allergies.
  • Relevant investigation results (blood test, scans).
  • Relevant specialist letters if available.

All our doctors are Authorised Prescribers or Shall be using Special Access Scheme (SAS) for medicinal cannabis to be approved by TGA (Therapeutic Goods of Australia).

NB – Our Doctors reserves the right to refuse prescribing medicinal cannabis if they find it is not clinically indicated.
